
Sarah Callaghan
Lab Manager, Researcher
Sarah graduated from the University of Waterloo with a B.A. in Psychology in 2018. In 2020, she received an M.Ed. from the University of Ottawa in Counselling Psychology. Since 2019, Sarah has volunteered and worked as a counsellor, specializing in working with adult women who have experienced trauma, criminalization, and problems with substance use. She is currently a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the CRPO. During this time, Sarah has also worked as a teaching assistant for psychology courses at St. Jerome’s University and contributed to the development of the online course PSYCH 312: Learning Disabilities.
In 2022, Sarah began her PhD studies at the University of Waterloo in the Public Health and Health Systems program under the supervision of Dr. Maureen Drysdale. Her research interests are focused around trauma and mental health and wellbeing. She is especially interested in mental health literacy and the role it plays in public health.
